He has worked with some of the most prominent directors in Spanish cinema, including Marcel Barrena, Cesc Gay, Jaume Balagueró, Fernando León de Aranoa, María Ripoll, and Pau Freixas, among others, as well as on international co-productions with Europe and the United States. His work has premiered in cinemas worldwide, on streaming platforms such as Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Disney, and on national television.

He has composed music for over 40 feature films and a dozen television series, spanning genres from horror to drama, thriller, and comedy. His most acclaimed works include El 47 (Goya Award for Best Film), Mediterráneo (winner of three Goya Awards and the Gaudí Award for Best Original Score), A Perfect Day (starring Benicio del Toro and Tim Robbins), Regreso a las Sabinas (the first daily series released on a streaming platform in Spain), and the blockbuster Way Down (starring Freddie Highmore and Liam Cunningham), among others.

His musical sensitivity, distinctive timbral approach, and narrative-driven work have earned him numerous nominations at Spain’s most prestigious film awards, including the Goya, Gaudí, Feroz, Lola Gaos, and Alicante Film Festival awards.

Driven by a constant search for the most appropriate musical tone for each film, Bataller has recorded with most of Europe’s leading film orchestras.
